Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians
Historically, the Tribes have mirrored life-ways common along the entire North American west coast. Tribal members lived closely and harmoniously with the land, living in plank-slab houses, gathering the fruits of the land and harvesting salmon and other fish, as well as, shellfish for nutrition. Cedar trees were utilitzed for everything from clothing to dug-out canoes.
