The Sedona Verde Valley Association of Realtors is sponsoring the first in a series of information fairs for potential home-buyers. The "Yes You Can" Home Buyers Fair will take place today at the Mingus Union High School cafeteria from 11 am to 1 PM. There will be free food, and raffle tickets.

Elks Ladies' 10 annual Craft Fair will be today from 9 am to 3 PM at the Elks Lodge in Clarkdale. The event includes a snack bar, home-made deserts, and 22 exhibitors. The Lodge is located at 100 S. Broadway in Clarkdale. For more information call Jo Krieger 634-7792

The Verde Valley Property Owners Association spaghetti dinner will be at the Verde Village Community Center 5 to 8 PM tonight. Price of the meal is $5 and the public is welcome. The address is 4855 Broken Saddle Drive in Verde Village Unit 5. Just follow the blue signs of Del Rio.

Marvin Hamlisch ~ A Pulizter Prize winner, Marvin Hamlishch has also won a Tony Award, three Oscars, three Golden Globes, and four Grammy's. He created music for "A Chorus Line" and "They're Playing Our Song." Hamlisch is also Principal Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops and the first ever Principal Pops Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington D.C. A meeting will be held at 7 PM above the fire station in Jerome by the Arizona Department of Fish and game to update residents on the mountain lion situation.
